Medevil Wedding

On April 15th my good friend Michael got married! Yeah! and he had a medieval style wedding.

It was a very long day for us as we did a lot of waiting. Waiting outside the temple and waiting for the reception.
Nicole loved the temple, or as she calls it "God's Castle" It was a beautiful day outside, so we were able to enjoy the sun and play in the grass area in front of the temple. She was also really excited to be able to see the Prince and Princess come out of the temple. It's a real life fairy tale for her.

I just wanted to add a pretty picture of my princess. She is very happy and had lots of fun at the reception.
Like I said, the wedding was a medevil theme, and yes, that is complete with chainmail and sword fighting. Above are the Prince and Princess. The King and Queen, aka the father and mother of the bride, were also present and the hosts.

Now when I say there was sword fighting, I do mean there was sword fighting. They had some Renaissance people there with their swords. Not metal swords, they were foam, but you could still fight. It was lots of fun watching father and sons, brothers, and even the bride and groom have a sword fight. I think only the groom and his best man had metal swords, but they didn't fight with them. Michael just cut the cake with his sword. I was amazed at how entertained Nicole was once the fighting started. I asked if she wanted to sword fight, but she gave a strong no.
And in true fashion of any wedding, there is cake! and in true Nicole fashion, she wanted the chocolate cake, with lots of frosting. The above frosting is actually Nicole's own decorating attempts. She spent about 10 min taking her fork across the frosting in her decorating. Can you tell by the picture that Nicole was just a little excited about it? She was very pleased with the results.
Before we could leave the wedding Nicole insisted on dancing with the Princess. Sweet Rebecca was happy to give my little girl the best gift ever and dance with her. Thank you, Nicole was just on cloud 9 that she was able to dance with the princess. She also had to say goodbye to the king, but the Prince just scared her. Michael had full chainmail on. The first time Nicole saw him she was so scared, and he didn't even have his hood on.
The day was very long and I was happy when it was finally over. The Michael and Rebecca La Course wedding has definitely been one of the most entertaining I have been able to attend.

  1. That's awesome! I don't know if I could go all theme on a wedding, but the idea is oh so fun!
