Jury Duty

This is probably the longest I've gone since posting, but I have a good excuse, my civic duty called. Last Thursday I was summoned for jury duty, and they picked me!! So, for the past week I have been able to sit on a jury and listen to the 'evidence' or at least what was allowed as evidence. My court case isn't over yet, so don't think I'm going to go spilling the beans about the case, but when it's done...

So today is a court holiday, Lincoln's Birthday and all. Duh, doesn't everyone get that off? Anyway, we got the day of of jury duty, but have to return tomorrow for deliberations. So don't ask me what I'm going to decide, because I can't tell, and it may change. Once the verdict has been read, then I'll let you in on the jury details.

So no news yet on the whole jury duty thing, but at least I have Nicole. She is entertaining as always. Lately she has been very Daddy needy. I'm not sure why but she really only wants Daddy to hold her, play with her, basically do anything with her. There are times when that is really nice. I can just sit back and watch our little girl clinging to her beloved Daddy, however it is not very nice when I want to say, hug my little girl and she clenches her Daddy's shirt and cries in protest of my even thinking of taking her out of Daddy's arms. Because of the new jury schedule, that hasn't happened very much, but when it does, man, knife through the heart. I guess it makes up when she cries "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!" in the middle of the night.
