We went to Mission Bay, just across the street from the beach and much less crowed. Hey, when you go on Friday July 3, it's amazing to find sand and water not crowed. Even more amazing is being able to actually find a parking spot!!
At first the cold water shocked poor Nicole, but as you can see, she got so use to it that she didn't mind being there! Uncle Nathan even dug a big sand hole by the water and Nicole thought that was just the greatest thing. She could 'fall' in it like she does in the bath!

There was also much fun to be had with the sand. While the toddlers, cousin Henry (2 1/2) and Nicole, didn't know how to make a sand castle, they knew the best part about sandcastles, and that's destroying them!!

Another highlight for Nicole was being able to hold the baby. Her cousins Julianna is 9 months and Nicole just loved holding her and forcing the binki in her mouth. I mean, come on. Nicole can't live without her binki, why on earth wouldn't every other little kid not want their's too? Yeah, we had to nip that a couple times. But here Julianna looks like she is having a fun time being 'held' by Nicole.

While we didn't get any pictures of Nicole and her cousin Evie, believe me when I tell you that Nicole just followed her around. She enjoyed having a big sister surrogate there and Evie helped Nicole out a lot. Nicole still asks where Evie is and baby Julianna as well. She misses her cousins. (She has asked for her Aunt Kris too!)
Oh, and Kris, thank you for the pitures you took. I know I just kinda high jacked them (ha ha), but I am giving you credit. She even played with photoshop to do a cool coloring on this one!
Aww what a cutie! Looks likes she had a great time.
