First we have our Tuchka. We adopted her about 9 months ago. She is like a little kid. At night she cries for Scott to pet her, including a little paw tap with it so you know she is talking to you. She is a very polite cat, but wants nothing to do with Nicole.
Since Tuchka wants nothing to do with Nicole and Nicole insists on getting her kitty fixes, we have Tinny. Tinny was an indoor cat, but due to marking wars we had to change her to an outside cat. She does pretty well, attacking those lizards with all her mighty kitty force. Of course there was that time she got caught by a bird, so now she keeps her eyes to the sky a lot...

We also have Rocky Racoon. This little guy came around a lot before we opted to not keep our trash outside, and then he kinda stopped. Once we made Tinny an outdoor kitty Rocky came back, pretty enthused that we would just leave food out there for him! So alas, we get to chase off Rocky when it comes to feeding time. At least it helps us find holes in the garage.
Now for our fun pond animals. First, our Turtles. We really have 2 of them, but one is really shy, so I don't have a picture of them together. This guy is getting pretty friendly though...

And we also have a duck couple. It would be really cool if they decided our ponds were safe enough to build a nest and we get cute little ducklings, but I don't know. The ducks are more comfortable with us this year than last year, so who knows...

We also have our turkey! This guy is really great to have around because he helps out with the next animal.

The Rattle snake! Yes, as you can see, if you can since I took this with a camera phone and the quality is pretty bad, we have rattle snakes, and this one is a brand new spanking baby rattler with one tiny rattle at the end of his tail there.

We also have such things as bunnies, and squirrals, and a hawk, and mice, and frogs , and yeah, lots of those wild things. But hey, it's always fun to make friends with the natives, right?

That is cool you have so many animals like the ducks and turtles. We would get a lot of rattle snakes back home in washington, along with other snakes like bull and garden. But the rattlers were the only ones we would kill becaue they definately are not the kind you want around with children in the vacinity.
ReplyDeleteSo it won't be a surprise if Nicole ends up being a vet when she grows up :) It's so much fun getting to see your updates! Thanks for posting so many fun things!
ReplyDeleteWow, you guys practically have your own zoo. Looks like a fun place! It was fun to see your dad this weekend at Brandon's wedding. It's the first time I have seen him without a mustache. That is so weird!!!
